How IT WORKS
40 applicants will be selected to compete in a three round, single-elimination tournament hosted by Randy Lubas and judged by a panel of Entertainment Industry professionals. Comics will be evaluated on a scale of 1-10 for material, stage presence, and audience reaction with maximum score of 30.

June 21st - June 23rd

comics will be selected from the pool of applicants to perform 8 minutes of material in one of five heats.
Round 2
June 23rd

semi-finalists will perform an additional 8 minutes of new material on Friday June 23rd.
Round 3
June 24th
5
finalists will perform a final 15 minutes, any material of their choice (can repeat), on Friday June 24th.

HOW TO ENTER
Submit a 5 - 10 minute audition video showcasing your comedic style.
Pay the $40 entry fee (goes toward professional review of your video submission)
*Applicants must submit a 5-10 minute audition video, valid email address, and $40.00 USD audition fee to be eligible for consideration. Submission does not guarantee participation in the Loons on the Lake 10K Comedy Competition. All selected must be willing and able to report, in person, to Crooners Supper Club (6161 Hwy 65 NE, Minneapolis, MN 55432) between the hours of 4:00PM and 12:00AM on the days of 6/21/23 to 6/24/23. Failure to comply with any of the above stipulations may result in disqualification from the Loons on the Lake 10K Comedy Competition.
**Selected contestants will compete in a three-round, single-elimination tournament hosted by Randy Lubas and judged by a panel selected at his discretion. 40 contestants will be selected to perform for eight (8) minutes each during the preliminary round of competition. Each selected participant will be assigned a time slot between the hours of 5:00PM and 10:00PM on either 6/21/23, 6/22/23, or 6/23/23. Of these initial 40 contestants, 10 will be selected to perform for an additional eight (8) minutes during the semi-final round taking place on 6/23/23. Of the semi-finalists, five (5) will then be selected for the final round of competition on 6/24/23. One of these 5 finalists will then be awarded a $10,000 grand prize at the discretion of Randy Lubas (host). For more information please contact info@loonsonthelake.com.
